Georges Bay Alive With Salmon!

02/07/2011 - I fished Georges Bay at St.Helens with Bailey Zanetto and Trevor Howard on the weekend.

Saturday we fished from 10am to around 2PM and caught around two dozen blackback salmon up to 2kg, fish were caught near the oyster racks up near the barway and on Sunday morning we caught around the same amount as on Saturday.

Bailey and Trev had an absolute ball, several times we were all hooked up at the same time, Bailey caught a few on surface poppers and the rest caught on Dales Yep "pearl white flappers" & black & gold flappers, also winding the softies flat out on the surface caught a few.

Great seeing the salmon smashing them on the surface!!, most fish were released.....only keeping ten to smoke.
