Macquarie River

Macquarie River, Friday 23rd September 2011.

Hi all,

Bailey and I headed out to the Macquarie River after work today, fished from 4.30 to 6.30pm, haven't fished here for a couple of years, thought it might be worth a look now that it has a good flow of water again after a couple of years being effected by drought conditions.

Bailey managed a couple of nice brownies around the 1lb mark, he lost another around 2lb right at the bank, he was using hard body’s, both were released and I caught a beauty on Dales black & gold flapper around the 4lb mark, we also caught a few perch, so it certainly was worth the trip.

Heading to the highlands tomorrow so hope I will have something to report from there.
